Water Filters — Whole House & Under Sink Guides

Same verification standard as our refrigerator, HVAC, and vacuum filter guides — cross-referenced against manufacturer specs and independent retailer data, not just similar-looking part numbers. These are compatibility guides, not yet an interactive lookup tool like our fridge filter finder — pick the guide that matches your system below.

Whole House Water Filters

Whole house systems filter every tap in your home from a single housing at the main water line.

GE, Culligan & American Plumber Compatibility Guide →
Find the verified replacement cartridge for GE GXWH40L/GXWH35F, Culligan RFC-BBSA, and American Plumber W10-PR/W10-BC/WRC25HD systems — all four use the same housing and cartridge.

Whole House Filter Sizing & Type Guide →
Not sure what size or media type your system needs? Start here — covers 10″ vs. 20″ cartridges and sediment vs. carbon vs. carbon+KDF media.

Under Sink Water Filters

Under sink systems filter one tap only — usually your kitchen faucet or a dedicated drinking-water spout.

GE & Whirlpool Under Sink Replacement Guide →
Identify the right replacement parts for GE’s dual-flow drinking water systems or Whirlpool’s WHER25 reverse osmosis family — they use completely different parts.

Not Sure Which One You Have?

If your filter housing is near your water meter or where the main line enters your home, and it’s plumbed into more than one fixture, it’s a whole house system. If it’s a small housing tucked under your kitchen sink feeding just one tap, it’s an under sink system. Whole house and under sink cartridges are not interchangeable, even when the size looks similar.
