How Verification Works
Each match is cross-referenced against several sources: manufacturer spec sheets and official part-fitment documentation, published compatibility lists from filter makers and retailers, and user-reported fitment data once it has been checked against those. When the sources disagree, the model is flagged as unverified. A wrong filter usually means a return and a delay, and with HVAC and range hood filters it can mean a part that doesn’t seal and works less well.
The site covers refrigerator water filters, HVAC air filters, vacuum filters, whole-house and under-sink water filtration, and range hood filters. In each of these, a filter can look identical to the right one and still use a different seal, thread or micron rating, and cross-reference errors show up often in manufacturer and retailer listings. That is why every match is checked against more than one source.
Data is updated when manufacturers change part numbers or discontinue models. Every fix is checked on the live site afterward, and mistakes are corrected and logged. If you find an error in a compatibility listing, reach out via the About page.
