GE’s under-sink systems are simple dual-flow drinking water filters with one twist-and-lock cartridge set. Whirlpool’s under-sink systems split into two separate families of their own — a reverse-osmosis (RO) setup with a two-part filter/membrane combination on two different schedules, and a simpler dual-stage setup with a single filter set. This guide identifies which parts fit which system, so you’re not guessing from a part number that looks similar.
