Which Frigidaire System Do You Have?
Frigidaire uses three separate filtration systems, and each needs its own bypass part. Check your current filter’s model or the sticker inside the filter compartment door to confirm which one you have:
- PureSource Ultra® / ULTRAWF / PureSource® 3 WF3CB — part 242294402. Check current price at Frigidaire.com.
- PureSource Ultra® II (EPTWFU01) — part A13402902. Check current price at Frigidaire.com.
- PurePour™ (FPPWFU01) — part A15601102. Check current price at Frigidaire.com.
- Open the refrigerator door and locate the filter housing compartment, typically in the top right of the interior.
- Press the eject button or release tab to pop out the old filter.
- Remove any protective caps or covers from the bypass cartridge.
- Push the plug straight into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
- Run two to three gallons of water through the dispenser before drinking, to clear trapped air from the line.
