Why I Built This

I’m Neo Pecorro, and I’m a researcher, not a repair technician. I built FilterFitNow after running into the same problem over and over: compatibility information for filters is scattered across manufacturer sites, retailer listings, and forum posts — and a lot of it contradicts itself. One page says a filter fits a model, another says it doesn’t, and there’s no easy way to know which one is right. FilterFitNow isn’t a product review site. I’m not here to tell you which filter is “best.” The goal is narrower and more useful: tell you, accurately, which filters fit which appliance models, so you stop guessing and stop returning the wrong part.

How Compatibility Data Is Verified

Every compatibility match on this site is built by cross-referencing multiple sources rather than trusting any single one: – Manufacturer spec sheets and official part-fitment documentation – Published compatibility and cross-reference lists from filter makers and retailers – User-reported fitment data, checked against the sources above before it’s trusted When sources disagree, I don’t average them or guess — I flag the model as unverified rather than publish a match I’m not confident in. Data is updated as manufacturers change part numbers or discontinue models.

This site is a one-person project, and I put my name on it because I’m accountable for what’s published here. If you find an error in a compatibility listing, I want to know — mistakes get corrected, not buried. There’s no anonymous editorial team and no affiliate-driven “top 10” rankings shaping the results. The only thing being optimized for is accuracy.
